ABOUT ME
Hi. I’m Jess Teas, a writer, editor and entrepreneur. I work cross a variety of topics (although mostly beauty, lifestyle and travel) and write for print publications, websites, trend forecasting agencies and consumer goods brands since 2002.
Previously I edited the LUXE City Guide to London and worked as editor-at-large for the launch of thehospitalclub.com.
In 2007 I co-founded cultbeauty.com with Jessica Deluca and Alexia Inge. I also founded and wrote one of the UK's first beauty blogs, which (*cough, cough, blushes*) British Vogue called "the news-led blog that beauty editors swear by".
I’ve consulted for various brands and companies on digital strategy, branding, editorial and creative projects, including Labello, Beiersdorf, LCI, The Castle Group, Sophyto, Xymogen, Robinda Unsworth, The Peterson Garden Project and others.
Thanks to a BA from Yale University and an MA from University College London, I can also bore you senseless about a variety of things. Pre-Columbian fertility goddesses, Dutch masters, color theory, the finer points of sarma or the geopolitics of the Balkans, along with what Indie beauty brands are hot or the latest 'It' skincare ingredient. Or all at once (mind blown).
